หลังจากทำตลาดคอนโซลแบบพกพา Steam Deck มาได้พักใหญ่ ก็ถึงเวลาที่ Valve จะขยายฮาร์ดแวร์ให้กว้างขวางขึ้น ซึ่งล่าสุดได้เปิดตัวพร้อมกัน 3 รุ่น ได้แก่ Steam Machine, Steam Frame และ Steam Controller โดยทั้งหมดจะวางจำหน่ายปี 2026 และยังไม่มีการเปิดเผยราคาออกมา
Steam Machine
Steam Machine คอนโซลดีไซน์กล่องทรงลูกบาศก์ มาพร้อมแถบไฟ LED สามารถแสดงสถานะการทำงานต่างๆ ได้ เช่น ความคืบหน้าการดาวน์โหลด แม้ในขณะที่หน้าจอปิดอยู่ อีกทั้งยังสามารถปรับแต่งสีสัน และเอฟเฟกต์แอนิเมชันได้หลากหลาย หรือจะปิดไฟก็ได้
Steam Machine ทำงานบน SteamOS ระบบปฏิบัติการที่เน้นการเล่นเกมเป็นหลัก แต่ Valve ระบุว่าสามารถติดตั้งระบบปฏิบัติการอื่นได้ ถ้าหากต้องการใช้งานเป็นคอมพิวเตอร์ ก็ทำได้เช่นกัน
ทั้งนี้ Valve อ้างว่า Steam Machine ให้ประสิทธิภาพสูงกว่า Steam Deck ถึง 6 เท่า จึงสามารถเล่นเกมในคลัง Steam ได้ทั้งหมด และเล่นเกมระดับ AAA ได้อย่างลื่นไหล
